What's on in Govanhill Free Church During the Week?

Prayer Meeting

Wednesdays 7.30pm

The prayer meeting meets on Wednesdays at 7.30pm in the church hall. We pray in adoration to God with confession of sin and thanksgiving for God’s goodness, and we ask God to pour out his blessing on our church and the wider world.

English Classes

Women's: Tuesday 10 - 11.30am

These are held in the church hall and are free of charge. The classes run throughout school term time and cater for a wide variety of abilities. All are welcome. These are run in conjunction with The Well.

Football Team

Games: Saturday Morning

Glasgow Free Churches (formerly Govanhill FC) play in the Strathclyde Evangelical Churches League, an amateur league affiliated to the Scottish Amateur Football Association. Training is on Tuesday evenings and matches are played on Saturday mornings (see the notices/rotas page for details). Although you must register and be over 16 to play matches, training is open to all.

The Bothy: Drop In

Tuesday 5.30 - 7pm

The Bothy is a family drop in mainly attended by Slovakian Roma. This runs once a week during term time and provides a safe place for children to play, build positive trusting relationships, receive support and advice, enjoy healthy foods and be accepted as part of the community in Govanhill. This is run jointly with: Daisy Chain
